Letter 24
You’re back on the squad with a little convincing from me to Coach Sylvester. I knew how miserable you were that you weren’t on the team anymore so that Monday, you were back in uniform. Of course you won’t know it was me that had a hand in it.
Just to see you smile, I’d do anything…
And I always will. Our duet is coming along nicely too. We’ve decided that the choir room is the best place for practicing after school since my parents are a bit iffy on me having boys in my room, as is your dad and step-mom.
“I have no idea what to sing.” I said as I sat at the piano. You lightly played a few notes and tried to get me to sing through the notes. Apperently you were pleased and moved on to harder keys.
“I was thinking of Terrified.” I furrowed my brow. “Isn’t that a love song?”
“Yeah. So what?” You asked almost hurt. “It’s just…I know we’re gay. But, we’re not boyfriends.” “No, but we could sing it pretty well and it’s a good song. I just thought you wanted to win.”
I put my hand on your shoulder and smiled. “You have the karaoke track with you?”
You beamed. “What a silly question.” And then we sang.

Letter 23
“Thanks for keeping me busy while I was sick.” You said Monday morning. “Oh hey.” I answered. “No problem. I figured you’d like my attempts on get well puns.” “Oh I did.” You smiled at me as I closed my locker, walking beside you like always, so naturally, to the choir room.
“2 more weeks and we’re headed to New York!” Was what we heard Schue shout as we made our way to the seats near the back. Puck, Quinn, and Santana looked at me nervously, there auditions were approaching fast. Puck texted me they were doing a trio performance of Micheal Jackson’s Bad. How appropriate.
Of course, they were actually really good, and we welcomed the trio with open arms. Santana blushed a little when Brittany hugged her, and shot me a glare when I held back a snicker.
We went over song lists and decided the usual duet, solo, group number, was the way to go. However, solos and duets were going to be fought for since Santana piped up that just because she was new, didn’t mean she wasn’t going to stand in the background to Rachel Berry. We decided that tomorrow we’d have solos for those who wanted a chance to shine, which made me think I was off the hook until you asked if I wanted to do a duet with you.
“W-what?” I asked, dumbfounded. “Earth to Blaine. Can you hear me? I said, do you want to tryout for the duet? I’m sure I’d rock a solo, but if we lose, I don’t want my solo to be what everyone thinks sunk the Titanic.” I laughed. “And you think our duet won’t do that?” “Are you kidding me? We’ll sound amazing together.”
“Fine, I guess.” I gave in throwing my hands up. That smile of yours could rule kingdoms.
alrighty then! :) thanks anon. I hope you send it as you though so your talent gets recognized. <3
Letter 22
“Well hello my little Jewish princess. Care for a little puff later on at chez Puckerman’s?” Puck strode over to Rachel and wagged his eyebrows. “Actually, yes.” Quinn choked on her smoke and Santana patted her back. A few of the other skanks came from under the bleachers a little to see what the head cheerleader was up to.
“Rachel, is this a joke?” I asked, finally. “No, it’s not. My dads will be out of town on a cruise and I’ve decided to throw a party. I’m inviting all of you.” “Why?” Santana furrowed her brows and folded her arms. “Yeah, the most popular chick in this school inviting a group of misfits to a party? Sounds like a shitty teen movie if you ask me.” Quinn added. “I have my reasons.” Rachel responded with a smirk.”
“What are they hobbit? I have shit to do today so maybe in this lifetime?” Santana crushed a cigarette with her heeled boot and waited. “Well…” Rachel took a breath. I had to admit, she was one brave chick to try talking to a group of people that would make her fall from the popularity pyramid in seconds. “We would like to extend an invitation to the “Skanks” to join forces with The New Directions.” Rachel continued when the gang looked confused. “To sweeten the pot, no pun intended, just know our Nationals competition is in New York this year.” Rachel beamed with her news. I rolled my eyes,. Leave it to Rachel Berry to have an ulterior motive. She thinks a party will sway them? Wow.
Santana rolled her eyes for the billionth time. I really hope that thing about your eyes sticking like that were all old wive’s tales. “Sounds like torture.” Santana commented. “I think it sounds kinda fun.” Puck looked at Rachel. “But why do you need us in your last competition?” Puck continued. “Yeah, is that even allowed?” I asked.
“It is” Rachel clapped her hands as if about to give a speech. “As long as the students are in fact students of the school, last minute add-ins are permitted to perform, without having to have performed in a regional or sectional competition.” Rachel must have remembered that part of the school choir hand book hours ago for this exact reason. “Look, we need the voices you are all stifling and not sharing with the world. I’m only trying to get you all motivated to be a part of something amazing. Plus it’ll look really great on college transcripts.” Rachel looked at the group and added glumly. “Or simply just to get you in cap and gowns.”
“That’s true. It’s why I joined.” I didn’t tell them it was also for you, but they already knew that. “Exactly.” Rachel smiled at me. It kind of felt nice to be smiled at from someone who I wasn’t even sure liked me.
Santana, Quinn, and Puck thought for a moment before all reluctantly agreeing to Rachel’s idea.
“Hey Berry!” I heard Santana call out to Rachel as she headed to the field for practice. We all lit up a cigarette and filled our lungs as we overheard the two girls talk. “Brittany Pierce is in that glee club too right?” Rachel simply nodded in the affirmative, smiling, which shockingly had the other brunette smiling.
“Santana can smile?” I looked at Puck in astonishment. “Wow. I can’t believe we fucked.” Quinn dead panned.

“Who are you texting?” Quinn asked me, blowing smoke under the bleachers as I sat on the corner of a seat, my feet dangling off the sides. “Who do you think?” Santana pitched in with a little smirk. I rolled my eyes and continued in silence. “Hummel’s got a cold and Blaine’s concerned about him, awww.” Puck chimed in with baby talk to boot, to which the girls snickered at. “Shut the fuck up Puckerman!” I snapped, even though he was right. I hate when he’s right. “I tried, but my dick don’t reach that far, Anderson.”
Puck flipped himself from some of the beams under the bleachers, his bag of weed falling from his jacket pocket. “Dude, come on! You’re still on probation, man! Put that shit away!” Puck rolled his eyes and grabbed the bag. “Chill man, no one will say anything unless you shout it loud enough for Ireland to hear.”
“Or me.” Everyone’s heads snapped at the squeaky voice near the fence. “Rachel.” Was all I could muster. We were fucked.
Or so I thought.
of course! I’d love that! :) MWAH! thanks anon!
Letter 20
Hey Kurt, long time no write I guess. So much has gone on.
We won Regionals last week and we’re on our way to Nationals in New York. I’ve never been out of Ohio…mostly because I couldn’t leave the state, but that’s all cleared up now. Anyway, I thought a lot about how I’m gonna graduate this year and it’s possible if I pass a few tests I will, now that it’s been several months since I’ve skipped a single class. Like, 5 months. That’s a record, man.
I better get going now. Mom wants me to take out the trash and I have some studying to do. Hopefully I’ll find the courage to talk to you about more than glee club stuff.
